Handling links/references in docs (footnotes?)

Dear all,

I'm just about done merging
http://www.openldap.org/faq/data/cache/738.html into maintenance.sdf, but
I want to keep the link references to the oracle site.

Should I do {{URL:blah}} or can sdf to nice footnotes?
