Re: syncrepl simplification

Comments? I guess I'm looking for a compelling example of the usefulness of multiple consumers in a single database. I suspect any example can be accomodated using separate databases and the glue overlay, and the glue approach probably provides more efficient security/isolation anyway.

I vote in favor of a single context. Among the few odds I don't understand of syncrepl, there's the usefulness of the "attrsonly" parameter to searches, the usefulness fo the size/time limits and so. In my opinion, if the aim is to have a replica of a database, the updates should be performed with essentially unlimited administrative privileges. I might be missing something, or others may have a much higher concern for potential security issues, so I'm not against leaving them in place, since they're there. Simply, I'm not sure I understand their actual need.
