I think part of the problem is that libkrb5 shouldn't be calling the resolver
directly. I did some more digging into Sun's NSS and found that it is already
internally mutex-protected, so assuming everyone uses the get*by* interfaces
it should all work. With this bit of info I can focus on solving the problem
in Heimdal and not adding a lock to slapd, which is a relief.
