As I see there's some expectation of monitoring features in slapd users,
I think we should spend a few cycles in reviewing the status of this
backend and decide the guidelines of future monitoring development
(whatever we decide to use, the old stuff could be a reasonable lighter
alternative, I suppose).

This solution needs some reviewing on the schema side (using "cn" for
thew feature name and "description" for the feature value is a bit 
simplistic) and needs extensive add-ons to support all the previous
features and more.
