May be I should have been clearer; *my* biggest problem is that the
replication configuration is manual ;-).

Thanks. I already looked at them. I am proposing to address only Section 12
(Replication Configuration and Management) of the LDUP Model draft. I will
shortly post the schema that I am working on; it will be along the lines of
the LDUP model draft but restricted to what OpenLDAP implements today (i.e.
no "replication agreements" etc).
