I'm new to OpenLDAP, and need help!
I just installed OpenLDAP on Linux, modified the
config file accordingly. It started ok, and I can connect to it from both local
and remote client. But when I tried to add an entry, I got the following
error:
ldap_add: Unknow error
additional info: next_id add failed
I looked at the /usr/local/ldap directory, where
ldbm is pointed to in the config file, it's empty.
Did I miss any step during installation? Or what is
the problem and how to correct it?
