Updating ud(1)

Ud(1) needs work.  In particular, it needs to be updated to
support SASL and TLS.  Also, the various U-Mich contributed
updates need to be reviewed and, if generally useful,
integrated.  This would be a nice, small project for someone
interested in contributing to the cause.

Volunteers interested in working on ud(1) should "jump on in".
Please coordinate on this list.  Please submit INCREMENTAL
changes per our contributing guidelines.
