Thanks for the submission, there are some things that we'd clean up but 
overall it's a good conversion. Unfortunately I was just about to commit 
the equivalent patch myself. I think we need to talk about these things 
on -devel so we can avoid duplication of effort in the future.

For reference, I'm also about to commit a patch for the refint overlay.
