Yes, it only happened when sending the modify request with python-ldap
(which is only a Python wrapper around the OpenLDAP libs though). It did
not happen with ldapmodify command-line tool. But modifying directory
entries works correctly with python-ldap and all other OpenLDAP backends.

After syncing CVS HEAD and rebuilding this problem does no longer exist.
So you can close this issue.
