Norbert,

slapi build has something unclean in it; however,
I'm usually building HEAD with slapi enabled on
many flavours of Linux without problems.  I suggest
you clean your servers/slapd directory very carefully
to be sure you're not linking any previously built
libbackends.* or so; if this doesnt' help, I'll
try what happens on my SuSE 8.1.

I think a `cd servers/slapd; make clean; make` will
suffice.
