Netscape SLAP -- IBM Contribution (ITS#2073)

All,

I have uploaded the file "Steve-Omrani-020908.ns_slapi_.tgz" to openLDAP
server yesterday. This is the IBM implementation of the Netscape SLAPI. It
is not the exact port of the IBM implementation (and hence the reason for
the delay), primarily because the two LDAP servers, although based on the
same source code, over the years have diverged significantly. However the
design concept remains the same. One change that I will be making shortly,
is that the implementation of the so called PBlock in this patch is based
on the AVL support routines. It appears that AVL is too slow for this task.
The new implementation uses different data structures and algorithm for
PBlock (all this means do not worry about the PBlock implementation).

I welcome any comment.

Thanks,
