memory leaks (ITS#1387)

I think there is a memory leak problem in OpenLDAP. 
Memprof reports memory leaks from the following
very simple code:

#include <ldap.h>
#include <lber.h>

int main(int argc, char *argv[])
{
  LDAP* l;
  int b;
  l = ldap_init(LDAP_HOST, LDAP_PORT);
  b = ldap_simple_bind_s(l, ROOT_DN, ROOT_PW);
  ldap_unbind(l);
}

Have I done anything wrong here, or does OpenLDAP 
infact leak memory?
