missing libtool --only-static for backend (ITS#881)

While compiling the server backends libtool is called with --only-static. My
libtool Version 1.3.5 does NOT support a switch like this. I browsed the 
archives and found a message stating that someone enhanced libtool and Kurt
pointed
him to give his changes back to the libtool guys. 
I think if you use a non standard tool like this, give at least a pointer where
to get the modified package.
