Problem with build using Visual Studio 6.0 (ITS#776)

It is about a problem with building the OpenLDAP using Visual Studio 6.0.

When I try to open the OpenLDAP project using the Visual Studio 6.0 SP4
I have the following problems:

1) When I act as described in FAQ: open main.dsw -
   nothing happens. I receive no errors, no messages and project does not open.

2) When I create empty workplace and try to add one by one the *.dsp
   files I recive the message: 'This makefile was not generated by
   Developer Studio...'

I tried to open it on several workstations and several versions of Visual
Studio 6.0 (w/o SP, SP3, SP4) but every time result was the same.

Is it this problem with my distribution of Developer Studio or with OpenLDAP
distribution?
